Project Description
A surface water source for drinking water was developed for the State Park in Columbia County. A new intake structure was installed to intake lake water to a reverse osmosis filtration system with chlorine disinfection.
Services Provided
A study of the lake stratification and level from which to draw the water with the least particulate matter (i.e. clay particles or algae) was completed. An intake system with pressure backwash was designed and constructed. A new water filtration plant was designed to meet the requirements of the Surface Water Treatment Rule. Additionally, the aging water distribution system was replaced with over 10,000 linear feet of high density polyethylene pipe. |
