Project Description
The project involved the renovation of five historic row buildings in the Village of
Catskill,
NY. All buildings were completely gutted and rebuilt from the inside.
Services Provided
C&A provided structural engineering services which included initial assessment of all components, development of structural improvement plans and periodic construction observation. C&A worked closely with the Architect and Contractor to ensure that the proposed structural modifications were in line with the historic nature of the renovation and the proposed floor plan. Significant obstacles overcome with this project involved the stabilization of the rear masonry wall with new steel framing, and the replacement / reinforcement of the fire damaged roofs in two of the buildings. |
