SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • PE license
  • 4-5 Years of experience with BS or Masters in Civil Engineering
  • Proficiency in Autocad, Microsoft excel, word
  • Energetic motivated individuals
  • Knowledge of Drainage , Grading and Site Design; and experience with Zoning Regulations
  • Good communication skills

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The successful engineering candidate will join our Civil/Environmental Engineering department.  The new employee will work with the Civil/Environmental Team in completing a variety of projects including site development, water and wastewater planning and design, stormwater management, environmental permitting and environmental analysis. The position will offer the opportunity for individual contribution and team participation.  The successful candidate will also be able and willing to take on responsibility for project success.

Position will require both office and field work and may include assignments outside of one’s area of expertise.  Typical assignments may include project management, engineering calculations and analysis, drawing development, project correspondence including letter and report writing, client management and staff supervision.  Attendance at night meetings may also be required.

MECHANICAL BUILDING ENGINEERING POSITION

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Full Time Position
  • Entry Level or 1 – 2 Years of experience with BS or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on building HVAC, fire protection and/or plumbing system design and analysis
  • Proficiency in Autocad
  • Energetic motivated individuals
  • Strong knowledge of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems
  • Good communication skills

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The successful engineering candidate will join our MEP engineering department as a staff engineer. The new employee will work directly with the department Project Manager in completing a variety of projects. They will provide the training and instruction necessary for a new candidate’s growth and success. Work will involve projects that range from designing mechanical systems for high end residential, commercial, institutional and industrial buildings, existing system assessments and troubleshooting, analysis for compliance with NYS Energy Code, and analysis for energy efficiency opportunities. Position will require both office and field work and may include assignments outside of one’s area of expertise. Typical assignments may include site inspections, engineering calculations and analysis, drawing development, cost estimating, code review and interpretation, interaction with clients, vendors and contractors, project correspondence including letter and report writing and construction management.

SURVEY TECHNICIAN

POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a survey technician with GPS skills to join the growing survey team in our Hudson, Columbia County office. Crawford & Associates’ Land Surveying Division specializes in boundary and topographic surveys, subdivisions, ALTA surveys, aerial ground control and construction layout.

The Survey Technician position requires a combination of field work in various weather and site conditions and office work including deed research and analysis, processing of raw field data, survey calculations and mapping. The ideal candidate will have had exposure, either through work related experience or classroom instruction to GPS surveying, traditional surveying methods, boundary analysis and cad drafting. An Associates’ degree in survey technology is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will also be team oriented; have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.  Crawford & Associates would welcome and support anyone working towards their LS license.
